To list your item simply click on the “Sell” link found on the header navigational bar. The listing process is split up into several main sections, notably:-
The listing process is developed in such a way that you are guided through every step seamlessly.
Step one of the process is to choose the listing type:
Auction- For single item sales at which goods are sold to the highest bidder.
Product - For single and multiple item sales under the one listing. These are directly purchased items and not via bidding like auctions.
Classified - Advertised item through Gasmotive website. Payment handled offline between buyer and seller.
Next choose your category you wish to list your item in, this can be revised at any time by using the “Previous Step” navigation button.
Step two is the largest step in the process and enables you to enter the following:-
- Item Details such as title and description.
- No Personal Contact Information such as names, addresses, phone numbers or email addresses are to be in the listing details or description, so as to maintain the privacy and security of all parties involved. Use our messaging system to first contact the seller for any information regarding the item you're interested in. Phone numbers can be exchanged through messaging if both parties agree.
- Upload Photos of your item. There is an 64MB size limit per photo. After the loading bar has finished, your photo will take approximately 10 secs to upload to the site (To minimize loading time for your photo, reduce the photo size to its lowest limit)
If you have a voucher code to redeem this can be entered just below the description field.
- Auction settings such as start time and duration.
Step three of the process is for entering your Shipping and Payment information.
There are 2 types of Payment methods to select from when selling your item: -
1. Direct Payment - This method utilises PayPal to make the payment between buyer and seller through the Gasmotive website (Make sure to add your PayPal email address upon registration)
2. Offline Payment - This method is handled offline between buyer and seller e.g. Direct Debit or Cash on Pickup.
Step four is Listing Preview.
Step five is Listing Confirmation.
